Australia Vs Sri Lanka 2nd One Day International 5 Nov Live

Kumar Sangakkara

The two teams face off in the second one day international on Friday 5th November. This series is important to both the sides in preparation for the World Cup and also significantly important for Australians to gain some momentum before Ashes. Sri Lanka would be confident after impressive start to this tour. Australia are a tough team to beat at home, but things can be different this time around.

The series began with Australia losing their first ever T20 game at home in their history. Australians are going through a patchy time in cricket. Defeats after defeats, disappointment after disappointment follows. Australia's performance has taken a dip at the worst time possible: right before the Ashes and World Cup.
Australia are welcoming the return of their key players Ricky Ponting, Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson. Ricky Ponting may have to face more criticism if he fails to deliver; there is no doubt that Ponting will be shaky before Friday's encounter.
Australia have drafted in the Tasmania spinner Xavier Doherty to accompany the struggling Nathan Hauritz and promising Steve Smith. Bran Haddin has made a reasonable return to international cricket. Michael Clarke has said that Aussies need to get their act together before Ashes, as time is slipping away. It is always hard to beat Australia in their own backyard and Sri Lanka would be wary of that. The match on 5th November can turn out to be a thrilling contest.
Australia have won two of their last completed 5 games.
Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakarra is confident that Sri Lanka would continue to perform and impress despite criticisms and involvement of political influence in their cricket. Their preparations for the World Cup in February are in full flow. Sri Lanka have had an impress run by winning Asia Cup and triangular series in Zimbabwe.
Sri Lanka have looked a compact team in the tour of Australia which is never easy. All rounder Angelo Matthews' return to international fold after injury can provide significant difference to the Sri Lankan team. Murlitharan has always been keen to impress in Australia and here is his chance.
SCG wicket may give inform Lasith Malinga some help, he can be devastating on his day. Sri Lanka are a side which is looking capable of winning against Australia, the game on Friday can further solidify their claim.
Sri Lanka have managed three victories out of their last five games.

Pakistan Vs South Africa 4th One Day International 5 Nov Live

Graeme Smith

Razzaq's innings at Sheikh Zayed Stadium might still be playing on South Africans as they take field for the fourth one day international at Dubai. Pakistan started shakily to the series but have started improving as the series is progressing.
The two teams gear up for the fourth ODI at Dubai Cricket Stadium. Both teams are suffering from quick changes to their squads. Both would be looking to have a settled side before World Cup as they prepare to go further into the series.

Pakistan have looked a reformed team following Abdul Razzaq's innings, they are looking a fresh team with a winning attitude and boosting confidence. There are however more than one things to worry about for them, the team changes have hurt them a lot.
Dropping three of their key players in form of Umar Akmal, Umar Gul and Misbah ul Haq hasn't helped their cause to shape up a team for the upcoming World Cup. The pitch at Dubai Cricket Stadium is expected to be slightly tougher to bat on than in Abu Dhabi. The fourth game on 5th November will be crucial for both teams. Pakistan bowling has been inconsistent in this series i.e. they have performed well on some occasions and failed on others. It would be interesting to see what they do on Friday.
Pakistan have managed three victories off their last five ODIs
South Africa were a team in form until halted by Razzaq's ton. The fourth one day international will be an interesting encounter. Their captain Graeme Smith not present in the last two games is likely to return to power the batting lineup. Pakistan is likely to draw huge support as it would be a holiday in Dubai on Friday, this can psychologically play a part in South Africa's game play.
Hashim Amla made a ton on 2nd November, continuing his supreme form. Albie Morkel's poor run of displays would be a huge concern. Kallis also got out cheaply in the last game. South Africa are looking to go in the World Cup as favorites to win it, like they always do. They have stressed the importance of every game building up to the World Cup. Friday's game is going to be crucial on the outcome of the series for both teams. South Africa would want Graeme Smith to be fit and take the reins.
South Africa have won four out of five games recently.
